In 2016, a couple who came down from Seoul settled on a sloping stretch of Seogwipo. A showroom curating European vintage designer furniture in person spreads across the whole building, and on one side of the first floor sits Café Southport. In a space decorated with objects that seem brought from a harbor, you drink drip coffee made from beans roasted in-house while slowly looking over the furniture and objects in the showroom right beside you. Both floors are filled with solid-wood furniture and collector pieces steeped in the feel of years, so examining each object is a real pleasure. The pull of this space is special enough that people say they go all the way to Jeju to buy vintage furniture.
