On a side street off Wangsimni-ro in Seongsu, running from Ttukseom Station toward Seoul Forest, this vintage furniture shop sets dark, grainy wood against white walls. A 1960s Dutch teak dining table, a mahogany cabinet by France’s André Sornay and Cassina’s LC6 table share the floor with an ichungjang, a two-tier chest from Korea’s Chungcheong province. They come from different decades and different countries, yet these well-used wooden pieces sit easily together. Each new arrival also comes with a careful account of its designer and how it was made. The shop is only open Thursday through Sunday, so why not plan a stop around your next walk in Seoul Forest?
